เตรียมพบกับ AMD Turion 64 Ultra CPU รุ่นใหม่ที่จะมาแทน Turion64×2
โดยจะมาในรูปแบบของ puma platform จาก amd เพื่อมาชนกับ Montevina platform ของ Intel
Turion64 Ultra(Griffin) จะมาในรูปของ technology สายการผลิิต 65nm พร้อม memory controller ddr2-800 ทำงานแบบ dual chanel จำนวน l2 cache ขนาด 1×2mb ใช้พลังงาน 32-35 watts นอกจากนี้ยังมาพร้อม hypertransport 3.0 ที่มีความเร็วถึง 4400 Mhz โดยใช้ bandwidth สูงถึง 41.6 GB/sec
ส่วน chipset ที่ใช้จะเป็นรุ่นใหม่คือ rs780m ที่รองรับ directx 10.1 ซึ่งทาง amd เปิดเผยว่า เร็วกว่า x3100 ของอินเทลถึง 5 เท่า และรองรับ port hdmi,hdcpและ display port อีกทั้งรองรับ Wireless ieee802.11 a/b/g/n และ hybrid hard drives ด้วย tecnology pci express 2.0 พร้อมกับ hybrid graphics ที่สนับสนุนการทำงานร่วมกับ graphics card จาก mobility radeon hd 3000 series ด้วย gpu ขนาด 55nm รวมไปถึง radeon hd3400 และ radeon hd 3600 ด้วย
